The security guard at Nizhny Novgorod school No. 117, where a teenager attacked two students, did not have a metal detector with him. The man himself informed Izvestia about this on March 11.

According to him, the frame at the entrance to the educational institution also did not work.

"The frame should be at the entrance to the school, the frame has just been connected now <...> It has been disconnected," the guard said.

He shared that the attacker had stabbed his neighbor and the person sitting in front of him. According to him, while working, he heard the cries of schoolchildren for help coming from the office on the fourth floor.

"Then I ran, but he [the attacker] is nowhere to be found. I found the knife myself, I took it up my sleeve, put it in a bag," the guard added.

The attack on students at a Nizhny Novgorod school occurred earlier in the day. The attacker has been detained. According to the Interior Ministry, the lives of both victims are not in danger. The prosecutor's office announced that it would conduct an inspection at the educational institution and assess how crime prevention is carried out there. A criminal case has been opened into the attack.
