Hundreds of special equipment units are ready to be deployed in Primorsky Krai to eliminate the consequences of the impending cyclone. According to the regional Ministry of Transport and Road Management, employees of Primavtodor JSC are on high alert and monitoring the situation.
"We are ready for the upcoming precipitation. 138 combined road vehicles, 68 graders, 32 excavators, 66 tractors, 15 bulldozers, 37 loaders and five augers will be involved in the work to eliminate the effects of bad weather," the Primavtodor said.
According to IA PrimaMedia, more than 40 thousand tons of deicing materials have also been prepared: over 30 thousand tons of sand, more than 9 thousand tons of sand-and-salt mixture, 100 tons of bionord and more than 2.5 thousand tons of technical salt.
A storm warning has been issued in connection with the impending cyclone in Primorsky Krai. Rain, snow, and sleet are expected in most parts of the region on March 12, night, and March 13. Rescuers, power engineers, utilities, and road workers will work in an enhanced mode.
Residents and guests of Primorye are asked to be more attentive these days near trees, advertising structures and other unstable structures, as well as not to leave settlements unless absolutely necessary.
