An assailant of eighth graders at a school was detained in Nizhny Novgorod.

A teenager who attacked two eighth graders at a local school was detained in Nizhny Novgorod. This was announced on March 11 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"The police detained the alleged culprit of the incident at school No. 117 in Nizhny Novgorod," the Telegram channel says.

According to the investigation, a student of school No. 117 hit two of his peers. After that, the victims were urgently hospitalized in a medical facility with stab wounds.

It is noted that the police detained a suspect born in 2010. In the near future, the necessary investigative actions will be carried out with him and a preventive measure will be chosen.

The press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod region also informed that a criminal case had been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder of two persons").

At the moment, all the circumstances of the incident are being established, as well as the motives for the attack.
