A criminal case was opened into the attack on schoolchildren in Nizhny Novgorod.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case after an attack on two schoolchildren at Nizhny Novgorod school No. 117. This was announced on March 11 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"The investigative authorities <...> received information about the hospitalization of two students from one of the schools of the regional center with stab wounds. A criminal case has been opened by an investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia on this fact," the agency's Telegram channel says.

According to the investigation, there was a conflict between eighth grade students, during which one of them injured his peers. The suspect has been detained, and investigative actions are currently underway with him.

Teachers of the educational institution were suspected of negligence

The attack on students at a Nizhny Novgorod school occurred earlier in the day. According to the Interior Ministry, the lives of both victims are not in danger. The prosecutor's office announced that it would conduct an inspection at the educational institution and assess how crime prevention is carried out there.
