Mishustin called on the web.Russia to focus on high-tech projects


VEB RF Group remains a key development institution in Russia, combining support for exports, small and medium-sized businesses, and innovation. This was announced on March 11 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a strategic session on the development of VEB.RF.
"Thanks to the guarantees of VEB.The Russian Federation has already successfully implemented government decisions to help certain industries during the pandemic and the acute phase of sanctions pressure, which were taken on behalf of the president," Mishustin said.
Now, the Prime minister noted, it is necessary to focus efforts on long-term economic changes, using state support mechanisms and public-private partnerships to implement large-scale investment projects, especially in the field of high technology, infrastructure and social policy.
Mishustin also stressed that in the work of VEB.The Russian Federation is important not only for economic efficiency, but also for feedback from citizens.
"It matters to every family whether their children go to a modern school, whether there is an opportunity to use convenient public transport, a new highway. What is the condition of the airport terminals? Is high-speed Internet and clean water available in the city? How energy supply and utilities are organized," he noted.
Earlier, on January 3, Mishustin instructed VEB.The Russian Federation will support the construction of six new airports in Russia. We are talking about airports in Krasnodar, Salekhard, Gorno-Altaysk, Magnitogorsk, Omsk and Arkhyz.
