The media pointed to the difficult situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the suspension of military assistance

The termination of US military assistance could be a serious blow to the repair capabilities of the armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on March 9 by Business Insider.

"The decision of the President [of the United States] Donald Trump <...> stopping the flow of military aid to Ukraine could be a serious blow to the arsenal of Abrams tanks belonging to Kiev and other combat vehicles," the article says.

The publication writes that Ukraine is already facing a shortage of American-made tanks, and the interruption of the supply of critical spare parts only exacerbates the problem. Kiev will not be able to keep tanks in working order and repair damaged ones.

On March 4, the Reuters news agency reported that the White House officially confirmed the suspension of US military aid to Ukraine. The pause will last until Trump sees how the leaders of the Ukrainian side "demonstrate a good-faith commitment to peace."

On March 5, representatives of the administration of the American president admitted that the suspension of aid to Ukraine could be relatively short-lived if Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky gave in to the demands of the White House.
