Armed militants who seized a train in Balochistan province in Pakistan blew up the railway tracks before opening fire, Geo News TV channel reported on March 11.

According to the TV channel, after the attack, an intense exchange of fire broke out between the terrorists and the security personnel on the train.

Law enforcement officers have launched an operation to eliminate the militants and free the passengers, which will continue until the criminals are completely neutralized, the material says.

On March 11, the Daily Mail newspaper reported an attack by armed militants on a train in the Pakistani province of Balochistan. They took more than 450 passengers hostage and also injured the driver.

Six soldiers were killed, and members of the security forces are also among the hostages. At the same time, the militants stated that they had freed Baluch women, children and passengers from captivity.
