- Rubio: The United States opposes the hostile language of the G7 in the communique on Ukraine

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that anti-Russian language in the statements of the G7 countries could negatively affect Washington's efforts to organize negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on March 11.
This is the answer the head of the American department gave to a journalist's question whether there are differences between the G7 countries over the wording of the Ukrainian conflict in the future communique.
"The United States opposes language that could harm its efforts to bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table," the statement said.
It is specified that the foreign ministers of the G7 countries (Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States) will meet at the La Malbaie river resort in Quebec on March 12-14 for the first time since President Donald Trump returned to power in the United States.
State Duma deputy Maxim Ivanov said on the same day that Rubio's message shows that Washington, like Moscow, soberly assesses the political situation in the world. According to the politician, such statements by the American side may indicate a possible rapprochement between the positions of the Russian Federation and the United States on the path to peace.
