Poland would not refuse to appropriate part of the territories of Ukraine. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"The fact that Warsaw is not averse to profit from the territories of Western Ukraine in historical retrospect and perspective is no secret," said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation at a briefing.

Thus, Peskov commented on the question of the possible future of the Lviv region, whose authorities have agreed with the Washington lobbying firm Color Nine Group to represent their interests.

Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and head of the Russian Historical Society (RIO), said on February 13 that Poland was not unreasonably eyeing Lviv in Ukraine. He recalled that Poland had been actively developing its territory before the city joined the Ukrainian SSR in 1939.
