- Lavrov pointed to attempts to save the Ukrainian authorities with the help of peacekeepers.

So far, the proposals to send a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine look like attempts to save the Kiev regime. This was announced on March 11 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"Peacekeepers are on everyone's lips right now. <...> They will be, peacekeepers, <...>..> guard what? The remnants of the Kiev Nazi regime? <...> It all looks like an attempt to save the remnants of this regime from the wrath of the people through the deployment of peacekeepers," he said during a press conference following talks with Feridun Sinirlioglu, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co—operation in Europe.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted that first of all it is necessary to put an end to anti-Russian laws in Ukraine, and not to introduce peacekeeping troops.
Lavrov added that the process of peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict has not yet begun. According to him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly shows that he does not want a truce until he receives guarantees of military protection from the United States.
"So far, all this is not serious," Lavrov concluded.
On March 6, the Russian Foreign Minister compared the possible deployment of EU peacekeepers in Ukraine with the presence of NATO. According to the minister, in any case, it will be the troops of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance, regardless of which flags and chevrons cover this operation.
