The announcement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that the American side intends to prevent the use of hostile rhetoric against Russia at a meeting of the G7 foreign ministers shows that Washington, like Moscow, soberly assesses the political situation in the world. This was announced on March 11 by State Duma Deputy Maxim Ivanov.

Rubio made the corresponding statement the day before, Reuters reports. According to the official, hostile rhetoric makes it difficult for the conflicting parties to sit down at the negotiating table.

"The United States probably remains or has become the same sober-minded country as Russia. A country that really assesses the situation that is happening in the world. Speaking of which, everything is bad, you can't talk to this position. The United States suggests talking about the objective reality that is happening in the world," Duma TV quoted Ivanov as saying for Izvestia.

According to the politician, such statements by the American side may indicate a possible rapprochement between the positions of the Russian Federation and the United States on the path to peace. Against this background, the general tension in the world may decrease, the source admitted.

Also on Tuesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov urged not to rush to put on rose-colored glasses about the actions of the United States. He stressed that one should always hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. Peskov also noted that Russia is doing well without these actions from the American side.

Among other things, Bloomberg reported on March 10 that advisers to US President Donald Trump are working on measures to ease anti-Russian sanctions. It was noted that this would also affect restrictions on oil prices.
