The movement of heavy trucks weighing more than 4 tons will be restricted in the Tula region from April 1 to April 30. The necessary road signs will be installed on the highways, said Rodion Dudnik, Minister of Transport and Road Management of the region, at an operational meeting.

The measure is necessary to ensure the safety of highways during the spring thaw. According to TSN24, the relevant order has already been signed.

Exceptions will be the Tula– Novomoskovsk highway and the section of the M-4 Don highway (Moscow – Voronezh – Rostov-on-Don – Krasnodar – Novorossiysk – Novomoskovsk).

Earlier it was reported that by the end of 2024, the Tula region took the first place in Russia in terms of the rate of reduction in the number of deaths on regional roads as a result of road accidents. This is the best result in the last 45 years.
