The drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Moscow was caused by the irritation of Kiev and London from the renewed dialogue between Russia and the West. This was announced on March 11 by the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, in a Telegram channel.

"The Kiev regime has clearly intensified attempts to hit civilian targets in Moscow and the region in anticipation of the "distinguished guests." A fairly obvious marker of the extreme irritation of Kiev and their puppeteers from the arrival and expected arrival of guests in the Russian capital," he wrote.

Miroshnik believes that it is clearly better for Ukraine and the UK that no one hears Russia's opinion at all. In addition, he wondered what other "trick" to expect from them in order to disrupt the future dialogue.

On March 11, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the air defense forces had destroyed 337 Ukrainian UAVs over the regions, 91 of which were over the territory of the Moscow Region.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that the attack took place at a time when Feridun Sinirlioglu, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), was visiting Moscow. The diplomat added that this is not the first time that a high-ranking foreign delegation's visit to Moscow has been accompanied by an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On March 10, it became known that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would hold talks with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu, during which he would raise the issue of the safety of journalists. It was clarified that Sinirlioglu's working visit to Moscow will last two days, and talks with Lavrov are scheduled for March 11.
