A coolant leak occurred at the Olkiluoto NPP power unit in Finland.

A coolant leak has occurred at the third power unit of the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Finland. This was announced on March 10 by the press service of the Finnish energy company Teollisuuden Voima.
This nuclear power plant is located in the western part of Finland near the coast of the Baltic Gulf. It has three reactors in total, which produce about 30% of the energy consumed by residents.
"At the Olkiluoto-3 (OL3) NPP, about 100 cubic meters of reactor coolant leaked due to filling of the reactor pool," the press service said.
It is specified that the leak occurred on March 7. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, and it did not pose any danger to the NPP staff and the environment.
In addition, according to the press service, this reactor is undergoing annual maintenance, which began on March 1.
On November 19, 2024, it was reported that electricity production at the second power unit of the Loviisa nuclear power plant in Finland was interrupted due to a malfunction. At the same time, the first power unit was operating normally.
