The small anti-submarine ships of the Northern Fleet Snezhnogorsk and Yunga have practiced an attack by a simulated enemy submarine using standard weapons in the Barents Sea. This was announced on March 11 by the press service of the Northern Fleet.

It is specified that the ships also managed to practice a maneuver to evade a torpedo attack, which was carried out by a submarine. In addition, Snezhnogorsk and Yunga conducted practical torpedo firing and depth bombing from RBU-6000 rocket launchers.

The role of the enemy was played by a nuclear submarine. She used ammunition from standard weapons, the press service noted.

In addition, the sailors of the ships were able to work out a number of tasks for the search, detection and tracking of the submarine. To achieve their goals, the military personnel used the ship's sonar armament to perform anti-submarine maneuvering at various courses and speeds.

On March 3, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that a detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) consisting of the corvettes Sharp, Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov and the medium sea tanker Pechenga conducted an artillery firing exercise in the eastern Indian Ocean.
