The tanker that collided with a container ship off the coast of Britain had aviation fuel with a volume of more than 220 thousand barrels. This was reported on March 10 by Sky News channel.

"At the time of impact, the Stena Immaculate vessel was carrying 220,000 barrels of jet fuel in 16 separate cargo tanks. At this stage, it is unclear how much fuel could have been released as a result of the incident," the company's statement said.

Later, Sky News learned that the British Coast Guard had stopped searching for the missing crew member of the cargo ship Solong 12 hours after they began. All 23 people aboard the Stena Immaculate oil tanker have been found.

"One crew member of the [cargo ship] Solong remains missing. Unfortunately, after an intensive search for the missing crew member, he was never found, and the search was stopped," said Coast Guard Division commander Matthew Atkinson.

Tanker and cargo ship collided off the northeast coast of England on March 10. According to the Reuters news agency, a helicopter, an airplane, rescue boats and nearby vessels with fire extinguishing equipment were sent to the scene. Sky News reported that 32 people were injured as a result. Later, the TV channel announced the rescue of all 37 sailors on board the ships, but later it was reported that one sailor was missing. At the same time, it was reported that the ship was carrying sodium cyanide.
