Five apartment buildings in Moscow are recognized as architectural monuments of regional significance, they are already listed in the register of cultural heritage sites. This was announced on Monday, March 10, according to the website of the Moscow City Hall.
The new status was given to O.O. Wilner's apartment building on Staraya Basmannaya Street, E.N. Weichelt on Bolshoy Kharitonevsky Lane, an apartment building of the early 20th century on Spartak Street, an Arbat private house in Table Lane and an apartment house of architect P.A. Ushakov in Money Lane.
For example, Ekaterina Weichelt's apartment building in Bolshoy Kharitonevsky Lane was built in 1900, the Moscow City News Agency notes. The apartment building of Osip Osipovich Vilner is located along Staraya Basmannaya Street, it was built in 1903 according to the design of architect Nikolai Zherikhov. The two-storey residential building of architect P.A. Ushakov is located in Money Lane. It was built in 1823 in the possession of Avdotya Vaskova, it is an example of eclecticism with elements of classical decor, writes "Moscow 24".
In February, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that restorers continue to work on preserving cultural heritage in Moscow. On the territory of the Valuevo estate, 10 cultural heritage sites will be put in order, notes 360.ru .
