More than 600 roofs of residential buildings will be renovated in Moscow

Major repairs to the roofs of apartment buildings have begun in Moscow. This was announced on Monday, March 10, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

Specialists of the municipal economy complex will carry out work within the framework of the regional capital repair program, we will put 679 roofs in order, of which 346 are flat surfaced roofs and 333 are metal pitched roofs, the Moscow City News agency reports.

In particular, they will have to completely replace the roofing, repair the joints of slabs, fences, and the places where the roof adjoins the gables and cornices.

Most of the roofs will be renovated in the Central, Eastern and Northern administrative districts, writes RT.

Biryukov pointed out that the overhaul of flat roofs is seasonal, and specialists can only carry them out at plus temperatures. Pitched metal roofs can be repaired all year round, Moscow 24 reports.
