The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case in connection with the commission by the armed forces of Ukraine (VFU) of a terrorist act against the civilian population in the settlement of Belaya in the Kursk region. This was announced on March 10 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.

"A criminal case has been opened in connection with the commission of a terrorist act against the peaceful population of the Kursk region by the UFA (paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," she said.

Petrenko stressed that the VFU militants "carried out a targeted attack on a grocery store where civilians were staying." She added that the perpetrators would be identified as part of a preliminary investigation and brought to justice.

On the same day, it became known that Ukrainian militants had attacked the Dobrynya shopping center in the Belaya settlement of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region. As a result, four people were killed and nine people were injured, including four teenagers aged 13-14. It was clarified that all the victims are receiving assistance at the district hospital and will be taken to the regional medical facility.
