- Zakharova asked the Danish Foreign Minister about the protection of Greenland after his words about Ukraine

On March 10, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova ironically commented on the statement by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen on the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine on her Telegram channel.
Earlier in the day, Rasmussen said his country was ready to send troops to Ukraine.
"I'm terribly sorry: who's going to protect Greenland? Are they probably refugees from Ukraine who came to Denmark?",— Zakharova responded to his statement.
On March 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov compared the possible deployment of EU peacekeepers in Ukraine with the presence of NATO. According to the minister, in any case, it will be the troops of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance, regardless of which flags and chevrons cover this operation.
