The Danish Foreign Minister announced his readiness to send peacekeepers to Ukraine.

Denmark is ready to provide its troops if there is a need to deploy European peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. This was announced on March 10 by the DR broadcasting company, citing the words of the head of the Danish Foreign Ministry, Lars Loekke Rasmussen.
"Today we declare that if a European presence is required to achieve a truce or peace agreement, Denmark is ready to provide it in principle," the broadcaster quoted the head of the Danish diplomatic department as saying.
At the same time, as Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen clarified, there are no specific plans yet. According to him, everything will depend on the further development of the situation.
"This statement is a manifestation of our early foresight," he explained.
On March 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov compared the possible deployment of EU peacekeepers in Ukraine with the presence of NATO. According to the minister, in any case, it will be the troops of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance, regardless of which flags and chevrons cover this operation.
