Witkoff announced Zelensky's apologies for the altercation with Trump

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has sent a letter of apology to American leader Donald Trump for the public altercation in the Oval Office of the White House. This was stated on March 10 by Stephen Witkoff, special representative of the President of the United States for the Middle East, in an interview with Fox News channel on the eve of the Ukrainian-American talks in Saudi Arabia.
"Zelensky sent a letter to Trump. He apologized for the whole incident that took place in the Oval Office. I think it was an important step," he said.
Witkoff added that the American side had many discussions with Ukraine and Europe about the rare earth resources deal between Kiev and Washington. He said that the Americans had managed to make progress on this issue and expressed hope for an agreement.
In addition, the special envoy said that the American and Ukrainian delegations plan to discuss security protocols for Kiev and territorial issues at the talks in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier on March 9, Trump promised good results of negotiations with the delegation of the Kiev regime in Saudi Arabia. He expressed hope for "great progress" on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, and also confirmed that he was still awaiting the signing of a rare earth resources deal with Ukraine.
