A series of explosions occurred on board the tanker Stena Immaculate, which collided with the container ship Solong in the North Sea off the coast of Great Britain after a fuel leak. This was announced on March 10 by the shipowner Crowley Corporation.

The company stated that the incident occurred around 10 a.m. (1 p.m. Moscow time), when the tanker was anchored.

"As a result of the collision, a cargo tank with Jet 1A [aviation] fuel burst on Stena Immaculate. <...> A fire broke out and fuel reportedly leaked out. <...> The crew abandoned the ship after a series of explosions on board," the corporation said in a Facebook message (owned by the recognized extremist company Meta, its activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation).

It is specified that all sailors from Stena Immaculate are safe. The company is currently working with public services to put out the fire and rescue the tanker.

Two ships collided off the northeast coast of England on the afternoon of March 10. According to Sky News, 32 people were injured in the incident.
