The Southern District Military Court has sentenced a resident of Sevastopol to 17 years in prison in the case of the attempted murder of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on behalf of the Ukrainian special services. "He was sentenced to 17 years in prison with the first three years served in prison, the rest in a high—security colony," the ministry said.

In addition, the man was fined 300 thousand rubles and imprisoned for a period of one year. The verdict has not yet entered into force.

On March 6, employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol detained a Russian citizen on suspicion of publicly calling for the murder of law enforcement officials.
