The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric super sedan was involved in an accident on a race track in China. Footage from the moment of the incident and its consequences for the car appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo, reports <url> on March 10.

The accident occurred on March 9, just a few days after the start of shipments of the first Xiaomi SU7 Ultra cars to customers. The footage shows that the driver of the yellow sedan, accelerating in a straight line, did not slow down enough before entering the turn. As a result, the car flew off the highway and crashed into a tire fence. In the accident, the sedan's airbags went off. The car suffered serious damage to the front.

The total power of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric motors reaches 1,526 hp. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/ h takes 1.98 seconds. The maximum speed exceeds 359 km/h. The price of the car is 529.9 thousand yuan (about 6.4 million rubles in translation).

The electric car leaves the assembly line with a software limitation that applies for the first 300 km: the maximum speed of the car is limited to 140 km/ h, and peak power is 900 hp.

Earlier, on February 10, it was reported that Xiaomi Auto electric vehicles may officially appear on the Russian market. This follows from a statement by representatives of the Chinese concern Sinomach Auto, which is represented in Russia by the car brands Oting and Rox. Sinomach Auto officially entered the Russian market in 2023.
