It's time for European leaders to admit the loss of the Ukrainian plot and start negotiating with Russia. This was announced on March 10 by Lyubosh Blaga, a member of the European Parliament from Slovakia.

"Any sensible statesman should stop <this conflict> today and start cooperating and negotiating with Russia," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to the MEP, if former German Chancellor Willy Brandt, former French President Francois Mitterrand or anyone else from European history were in power at the moment, the continent would have already admitted defeat. Blaga stressed that there are currently no such politicians.

"Therefore, the European Union is experiencing a crisis that has become the largest since its foundation, even since the Second World War. And I'm not sure if the EU will survive," Blaga added.

According to him, the Europeans could follow the example of the United States and suspend military assistance to Ukraine. In addition, he called Europe the only region in the world that wants to continue the conflict, and also continues to claim that Russia is isolated.

On March 8, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto accused the Polish government and the European Union (EU) of blocking peace talks on the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, he stressed that the vast majority of countries, led by the United States, want to achieve a peaceful settlement.
