A dachshund bit a newborn baby to death in the Tomsk region

In the city of Seversk, Tomsk region, a domestic dachshund killed a newborn baby. This was reported on March 10 in the press service of the SU IC of Russia for the Tomsk region.

According to the investigation, a domestic dachshund bit a sleeping girl born in 2025, and later the newborn's mother found the child's body without signs of life and with numerous bites.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened into the incident on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").

An inspection is currently underway to determine the causes of the incident.

Earlier in the day, a hunting dog attacked three minors in the Tver region. An inspection is underway.
