The State Duma called the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on Velikiye Kopany a "spit on Trump's initiatives."

The strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the market in the village of Velikiye Kopani in the Kherson region is a "spit in the peace initiatives" of US President Donald Trump. This statement was made on March 10 by Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from the Crimean region and a member of the security Committee.

"I am sure that the Kiev regime has decided to strike civilian targets with American weapons for a reason. This is a spit at the peace initiatives of US President Trump in order to tarnish his reputation with the blood of peaceful Russian people, and an attempt to set Russia against the United States," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Sheremet stressed that the Ukrainian side continues to use terrorist methods to achieve its goals. He also expressed confidence that the American leader understands the "terrorist nature and meanness" of the Kiev regime, which, as the deputy noted, wants to continue the conflict.

The Ukrainian army attacked Velikiye Kopani on the evening of March 9th. The Governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, shared that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had hit the market with two American-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) missiles. According to the latest information, four people were killed. A criminal case has been opened into the attack.
