Slovakia is ready to provide a platform for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. This was announced on March 10 by Lyubosh Blaga, a member of the European Parliament from Slovakia.

"Of course, we would be happy," he said in an interview with TASS.

Blaga noted that at the same time, Slovakia is too small a state "for many global processes," but there have been cases in history when small countries, such as Norway, have become a platform for large—scale negotiations.

"If there is an opportunity to host any negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in the future or between Russia and other countries, we are ready to provide everything necessary," the deputy assured.

He also stressed that Slovakia will do everything in its power to achieve peace between Europe and Russia, as Russia is its friend and partner, with whom it is necessary to cooperate.

Earlier, on March 8, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that only Russian President Vladimir Putin currently has a real plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. He shared that he had been negotiating a resolution to the conflict with the Russian leader, Chinese President Xi Jinping and officials from Brazil.
