On the eve of International Women's Day, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin presented the city's state awards and decorations to outstanding Muscovites. Among them is Galina Nerobova, executive secretary of the weekly edition of Evening Moscow. The ceremony took place in the White Hall of the Moscow City Hall.
"Wonderful teachers have gathered here who are educating the future generation of Moscow, and thanks to their work, Moscow school is one of the best in the world. Here, honorary doctors from Moscow and the Russian Federation, who bring health to Muscovites, save them in the most difficult situations. There are wonderful actresses here who are the pride of our country, bring us culture and delight us with their art. There are representatives of very unfeminine professions, maybe: builders who build beautiful buildings, public transport drivers who provide transportation for millions of people every day. Housing and communal services workers are here, who give us a beautiful, clean, well-maintained city. People of various professions work here, but they are united by the fact that they love Moscow and put their hearts and souls into their work," Sergei Sobyanin said.
Receiving the award, Galina Nerobova noted that the main audience of the weekly is the older generation. "Sergey Semenovich, I would like to express my special gratitude on behalf of our readers for the Moscow Longevity project, which we regularly write about on the pages of our newspaper and know firsthand how positively the lives of the older generation have changed thanks to this wonderful project," she added.
