Almost 40 grass fires were extinguished over the weekend in the Lipetsk region


On the weekend of March 8 and 9, firefighters went out 39 times to extinguish dry grass fires in the Lipetsk region. Such data was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
The total area of fires was about 5 hectares. The largest fires were recorded in the Lipetsk region. There, near the village of Studenye Vyselki, grass was burning on an area of 3 hectares.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations advised residents to exercise caution and prevent vegetation fires. Such fires can occur due to the burning of garbage in open spaces. For this reason, three falls occurred over the weekend, says GOROD48.
Earlier, on March 7, it was reported about a large fire of dry vegetation on an area of 300 square meters. m in Anapa. Also on March 6, in Primorsky Krai, near the Land of the Leopard National Park, a large natural fire was extinguished, which threatened the ecosystem of the park. The staff of the reserve, together with specialists from the KGB Primorsky Aviation Protection and Forest Protection Base, stopped the spread of fire deep into the specially protected natural area.
