- The media reported a drop in exports from Germany by 130 billion euros in January 2025

Total exports from Germany in January 2025 fell by €129.2 billion, or 2.5%, compared with December 2024. This was reported on March 10 by the German newspaper Handelsblatt.
At the same time, imports of goods to Germany increased by 1.2% and amounted to €113 billion, despite the 2.1% increase expected by experts.
It is specified that exports to the European Union in January of this year amounted to €69.8 billion, which is 4.2% less than in December last year, and to non-eurozone countries fell by 0.4% to €59.4 billion.
In February 2025, some representatives of large German corporations and exporters stated that the German export industry lacked "dynamism and a spirit of optimism."
Earlier, on March 8, Maximilian Krah, a member of Alternative for Germany, said that the "injection" of funds into the Ukrainian conflict was destroying the German economy. According to Krach, Germany spends a lot of money on Ukraine for no purpose, and the funds there are lost in corruption.
