The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota Motor was forced to shut down one production line at a factory in Kyoto due to an explosion at a spare parts supplier. This was reported on March 10 by the Kyodo news agency.

"Toyota Motor Corporation has announced the suspension of one of its production lines at the Daihatsu Motor plant in Kyoto due to the effects of an explosion at the factory of Chuo Spring, an auto parts manufacturer with which it cooperates," the agency informs.

Prior to this, the corporation had already announced the suspension of work on several lines due to a similar explosion at the plant of the same supplier.

Earlier, on March 6, in Japan, one person died due to an explosion at the Chuo Spring plant. As a result of the incident, one person was killed, and two men received minor injuries. 19 pieces of equipment were used to fight the fire, and the fire was extinguished about three hours after it occurred.
