In 2025, Russians will be able to repay up to 19.5 thousand rubles for treatment.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Sergei Leonov, said on March 10 that Russians in 2025 would be able to return up to 19.5 thousand rubles as a tax deduction for medical treatment.
"Starting this year, the maximum allowable amount from which it will be possible to receive a tax deduction for medical treatment has increased to 150 thousand rubles. Thus, Russians can now return up to 19.5 thousand rubles per year as a tax deduction for treatment. Previously, the maximum amount was only 15.6 thousand rubles," he told RIA Novosti.
Leonov noted that it is possible to make a deduction for the costs of standard treatment, purchase of medicines and self-purchase of a VMI policy, which were carried out in the previous reporting year.
He also informed that when paying for expensive treatment, it will be possible to return 13% of all funds spent, regardless of the total cost.
"For example, if a person had a vision correction operation in 2024 and paid 160,000 rubles for it, then this year they will be able to apply for a 13% deduction from only 150,000 rubles and regain 19,500 rubles," he explained.
It is specified that it will be possible to apply for a deduction only within three years at the office of the tax inspectorate or on the website of the Federal Tax Service. When making a deduction for medicines, prescriptions or an extract from a medical card, scanned receipts and a certificate of payment for services from a medical institution will be required.
Earlier, on November 13, 2024, it became known that the head of the Fair Russia — For Truth faction, Sergei Mironov, sent an official letter to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov with a proposal to change the rules for paying social deductions in order to eliminate the loss of citizens' funds.
