The Russian army has liberated 32 settlements in the Kursk region from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on March 10 by TASS, having calculated the data of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"On March 8-9 alone, as a result of the actions of units of the North group of forces, seven settlements were liberated: Malaya Loknya, Cherkasskoye Porechnoye and Kositsa, Lebedevka, Viktorovka, Nikolaevka and Staraya Sorochina," the news agency said.

In February, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces were able to recapture five more villages — Pogrebki, Orlovka, Nikolsky, Novaya Sorochina and Sverdlikovo.

By January 17, 63.2% (801 square kilometers) of the territory of the Kursk region, which was initially controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (a total of 1,268 square kilometers), had been liberated. In January, in two weeks, the military personnel of the North group of forces liberated four settlements — Alexandria, Leonidovo, Russian Porechnoye and Kruglenke.

On March 6, the Ministry of Defense announced that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the day amounted to more than 170 soldiers in the Kursk area. In addition, units of the North group of forces defeated Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the areas of the settlements of Goncharovka, Gornal, Zaoleshenka, Kazachya Loknya, Kurilovka, First Prince, Lebedevka, Malaya Loknya, Makhnovka, Rubanshchina, Staraya Sorochina and Sudzha during offensive operations. Three enemy counterattacks were also repelled.
