Artemy Lebedev was fined for desecrating religious symbols

Designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev has been fined by a court for public desecration of religious symbols for the second time. This was reported on March 10 by RIA Novosti with reference to the case file.
Prior to that, the decision on the fine was rejected because the case report did not contain information that it had been delivered and handed to Lebedev.
On March 7, the designer was found guilty of committing an offense under Part 2 of Article 5.26 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional public desecration of religious or liturgical literature, objects of religious worship, signs or emblems of ideological symbols and attributes, or their damage or destruction").
A fine was imposed as a punishment. The court did not specify the exact amount that the blogger will have to pay, however, according to this article, the fine for individuals can range from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles.
At the end of 2024, the prosecutor's office prosecuted blogger Yuri Dudya (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for violating the law on foreign agents after an interview with designer Artemy Lebedev. So, a month later, an administrative offense case was opened against the blogger under the article "Violation of the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent." He faces punishment in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles.
