The calculation of the self-propelled gun "Msta-S" destroyed the tank and the manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special operation zone

The gunners of the Center group of forces destroyed a tank and an accumulation of manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation zone. This was announced on March 10 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The calculation of the Msta-S self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) of the Center group of forces destroyed a tank and a cluster of Armed Forces personnel, disrupting the rotation of Ukrainian militants in the Red Army area of a special military operation," the military department reported.

The route of movement of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was revealed as a result of aerial reconnaissance. After that, the calculation of the gun was aimed at the place in advance and waited for the appearance of enemy forces.

"The crew fired a series of 152-mm high-explosive fragmentation rounds. With the second shot, the enemy tank was hit, and then its ammunition detonated. The shooting was conducted at a distance of more than 18 km," the Ministry of Defense said.

On March 8, the Msta-B howitzer crew destroyed a UAV control point in the Kherson region. According to the coordinates obtained from aerial reconnaissance, the calculations of 152-mm Msta-B guns launched an artillery strike and hit the UAV control center with personnel disguised in abandoned residential buildings in Kherson. During combat missions, calculations of 152-mm Msta-B howitzers use high-explosive fragmentation, as well as high-precision ammunition, which allows maximum fire damage to AFU formations at a distance of up to 25 km.
