Trump promised good results of negotiations with Ukraine in Saudi Arabia

US President Donald Trump announced "good results" following a meeting of the delegations of Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia scheduled for next week. He told a White House reporter about this on March 9 aboard his presidential plane.

"I think that in the near future you will see pretty good results [of the talks] in Saudi Arabia this week."

He also expressed hope for "great progress" in moving towards the end of the Ukrainian conflict. According to Trump, "various negotiations" are planned in Saudi Arabia.

On the same day, the media reported that Ukraine wanted to offer a "partial ceasefire" at future talks in Saudi Arabia in order to convince the United States to provide military assistance to Kiev again. Former Czech President Milos Zeman also said that Trump has become the only world leader in whose power to end the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, Zeman pointed out that in this situation, the American leader acts as a pragmatist, trying to obtain Ukrainian minerals for his country.
