In the Kherson region, three people died due to the impact of HIMARS on the market.

As a result of a rocket attack using the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system on a market in the village of Velikiye Kopani, Kherson region, three civilians were killed. This was announced on March 9 by the Minister of Health of the region Elena Borchaninova.

"One person died on the way to the hospital, two died on the spot," TASS quoted the minister as saying.

According to Borchaninova, doctors are treating eight injured people.

"Another patient was admitted to the Skadovo hospital. He has a shrapnel wound to the chest. His condition is of moderate severity," she commented.

Borchaninova also informed that all the victims, who were hospitalized for the most part with shrapnel wounds, are receiving surgical care.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Velikiye Kopani earlier in the day. Governor Volodymyr Saldo said that Ukrainian militants had attacked the market with two HIMARS multiple rocket launcher missiles.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kherson region told Izvestia that a man died as a result of the attack.
