Renovation and restoration of Rostokinsky Aqueduct will be completed this year

In Moscow, the renovation and restoration of the Rostokinsky Aqueduct will be completed in 2025. This was announced on March 9 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his Telegram channel.
The aqueduct is the only one in Russia that has survived to this day. It is a unique monument of engineering architecture of the XVIII century. Specialists will restore the object of cultural heritage of federal significance to its former appearance, preserving its historical value. They will have to, in particular, clean the cladding of facades and stairs with their subsequent restoration, replace damaged wooden structures of the canopy and roof, restore pavilions and strengthen masonry, the Moscow City News agency reports.
In addition, during the restoration, the engineering equipment will be replaced and the bridge structures will be strengthened. The completion of the work is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025, writes "Moscow 24".
