Moscow has opened the longest aboveground pedestrian crossing on the MKAD

In Moscow, the longest aboveground pedestrian crossing was opened on the MKAD. This was announced on March 8 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his Telegram channel.
The facility is located along the exit from the Novoegoryevsky highway to the inner side of the Moscow Ring Road, RIAMO notes. The crossing is part of a transport interchange at the intersection of the MKAD with Verkhniye Polye Street. After the reconstruction, it was possible to increase the capacity there, according to the Moscow City News agency.
Residents were able to safely get to land transport stops and large shopping malls. Elevators have been equipped for low-mobility citizens and parents with strollers, writes RT.
On March 4, Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction, announced that a section of the MKAD about 5.5 km long was being reconstructed in Moscow. In particular, it is planned to build an exit ramp to Ivanovsky Bridge, organize the entrance and exit to Stalevarov Street, and connect Kosinskaya and Reutovskaya streets. 360.ru .
