Musk said he would never disconnect Ukraine from the Starlink system.

The Starlink satellite system, owned by SpaceX, will never shut down its terminals in Ukraine. This was announced on March 9 by the head of the manufacturer of space technology, American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk.
"To make it very clear, no matter how much I disagree with Ukraine's policy, Starlink will never turn off its terminals," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to Musk, such a decision would lead to a threat to Ukrainian communications, since Russia is able to block other communication channels.
In conclusion, he once again stressed that the United States would never do such a thing and would not "use it as a bargaining chip."
Earlier in the day, Musk said that the Ukrainian army was holding on to Starlink, and the front line could "collapse" if it was turned off. He stressed that the armed conflict is a "dead end" situation in which Ukraine "will inevitably lose."
The Financial Times newspaper reported on March 8 that EU government officials are looking for ways to provide Ukraine with an alternative to SpaceX's Starlink.
