- The former head of the Czech Republic called Trump a businessman because of his approach to the conflict in Ukraine.

Former Czech President Milos Zeman said that US President Donald Trump "behaves like a businessman" when making decisions on the conflict in Ukraine. He made a corresponding comment on March 9 on the CNN Prima News channel.
"I think Trump is a businessman. And he behaves accordingly. Trump is a pragmatist, he cares about the United States and its reputation, he doesn't care about Europe at all," he said.
Zeman also pointed out that due to the lack of competent leaders in Europe, Trump has become the only person capable of resolving the conflict. He also cited the new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as examples of good leaders.
"Trump's interest is for American miners to be able to mine ore in Ukraine, that's all," Zeman concluded.
On March 9, NBC News ruled out the resumption of U.S. aid to Kiev in the event of a deal on resources. According to the TV channel, Trump expects changes in the approach of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky to peace talks, including willingness to make concessions. According to officials, the head of the White House also hopes that Zelensky will take steps to hold elections in Ukraine and possibly consider resigning as president.
