Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told about the shelling of Selidovo by cluster shells and drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The city of Selidovo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has been taken by the Russian army, but the city is still dangerous. On March 10, Russian fighters told Izvestia that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were firing cluster munitions at him, and hundreds of drones were flying in the air.

"I'm just saying — we heard a sound, immediately take cover, under the trees. And we watch what's flying. Ours is not ours. It's not ours, it's coming from the enemy side — we're opening fire!" commented Dmitry Babota, deputy platoon commander.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are resisting with their last strength. However, the Russian army is making obvious progress in the Donetsk sector. Firstly, another village along the Zaporizhia highway, Constantinople, was taken. Secondly, the Russian military continues to advance around Pokrovsk, or, as it was called in the Russian media, Krasnoarmeysk, where fierce battles with ten-kilogram mines are underway.

"Here he holds it, and I pull the pin. And he goes to the entrance and throws it right into the entrance. And we're just whistling from there," said a Russian soldier with the call sign Gena.

A soldier of the South group of forces explained in more detail how this happens. A Bickford cord is inserted into an anti-tank mine and carried to the target in their hands. The effect is deafening. In his department, Gena became a professional in this field. He destroyed dugouts and blew up several armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"We've been sitting in the dugout for a day, and it turns out she's running over, we just hear the roar, we see everything that's happening, how she blew up and is trying to do something. They run out, and we have a task to catch up with them more quickly," Gena said.

All this happens in one small area, only a few kilometers long.

"We have made sure that many houses in Selidovo are intact and people have already returned to some of them. It's a sure sign that peaceful life is on the way," said Izvestia correspondent Stanislav Grigoriev.

On this day, the military of the Russian Armed Forces raised the Russian flag in the liberated Constantinople in the DPR. In the video, soldiers of the Russian army installed the Russian flag and copies of the Victory Banner on administrative buildings.
