US President Donald Trump said on March 9 that Ukraine "may not survive" even with American support.

Thus, he answered a journalist's question about whether he was satisfied with the option of the country disappearing if Washington decided not to participate in the conflict.

"Well, she may not survive in any case. <...> And secondly, this conflict should not have happened, so we are ending this," he said on Fox News.

The Reuters news agency reported on March 4 that the White House officially confirmed the suspension of US military assistance to Ukraine.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, in turn, noted that Washington could resume arms supplies to Kiev if an agreement on rare earths was signed. He expressed the opinion that, against the background of its decision, the American administration wants to see how Ukraine will behave.
