A storm warning has been announced in Altai due to strong winds.

A storm warning was announced in the territory of the Altai Republic from the second half of March 9 to the night of March 10 inclusive due to strong wind gusts. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.
According to the ministry, forecasters predicted that wind gusts of up to 17-22 m/s, and in some places up to 25 m/s and more, are expected in the region.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations advised residents of Altai not to approach power lines and broken wires, observe the speed limit on the road, and park their cars away from trees and weakly reinforced structures.
In mid—January, severe storms in the Kaliningrad region caused damage to the coastal infrastructure of well-known local resorts - Yantarny, Pionersky and Zelenogradsk. After monitoring the seashore, it was found that in those places where the coast was protected by fortifications, the sandy slopes were not affected, the budget institution Baltberegozashchita reported.
