In Moscow, a pensioner was hospitalized with burns after making candles.


A pensioner from Moscow suffered serious burns during the manufacture of candles made of paraffin, as a result of which she was hospitalized. A law enforcement source told Izvestia about this on March 9.
The incident happened on Perekopskaya Street in Cheryomushki district. The emergency services received a call about a fire in the apartment of one of the houses.
"A pensioner born in 1958 was warming it up (paraffin. — Ed.) for making candles and received burns to various parts of her body," the source said.
The woman was hospitalized. At the moment, an investigation is underway into the incident.
Earlier, on February 27, a fire broke out in an apartment building on Planernaya Street in Moscow, as a result of which a woman and three children were injured.
