Muscovite lost 500 thousand rubles on the "purchase" of cryptocurrency


A resident of Moscow lost half a million rubles trying to buy cryptocurrency. This was reported on March 9 by RIA Novosti, referring to law enforcement agencies.
"According to preliminary data, the man tried to buy 500 thousand rubles worth of cryptocurrency in the Bybit exchange application," the report says.
The Muscovite transferred the money, but according to the source, the seller disappeared after the transfer. The man contacted the police.
Earlier, on December 24, Kaspersky Lab experts discovered a new online cryptocurrency fraud scheme. The attackers began to lure people's digital assets in the comments under the YouTube video, spreading a real seed phrase from crypto wallets with Tether USD (USDT) tokens as bait.
