The doctor warned Russians about the negative impact of stress on eyesight

Stress and fatigue can lead to vision problems. This was announced on Sunday, March 9, by ophthalmologist, CEO of VISTA Ophthalmological Center Anton Kazantsev in an interview withГазета.Ru ".
"Stress, often associated with work, especially at the computer, can lead to an imbalance of the accommodative system of the eye. The accommodative system represented by the lens allows us to focus on objects of different distances," the doctor explained.
He noted that working at the monitor for a long time can also lead to blurred vision and blurred images. Such a violation can be corrected if you consult an ophthalmologist for recommendations. They, in turn, will advise you to eliminate psychoemotional stress and possibly prescribe medications, Kazantsev said.
You should also pay more attention to the rules of wearing lenses. According to the doctor, during times of stress and decreased immunity, even small injuries from lenses can lead to infections.
In conclusion, Kazantsev called on Russians to pay special attention to eye health during periods of mental and emotional stress, including spending time outdoors, undergoing regular medical examinations, and following the 20-20-20 rule (giving your eyesight a rest every 20 minutes for 20 seconds).
Earlier, on March 6, Ekaterina Barbakadze, a doctor of functional diagnostics at the Dokstarklab Academy, warned that the problem of constant use of mobile devices is a serious threat that affects both the physical condition and psychological well-being of a person. According to the doctor, prolonged use of the screen can cause "computer vision syndrome": dry eyes, redness, fatigue, and decreased visual acuity.
