WP learned about Zelensky's attempts to establish relations with the United States

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is struggling to restore relations with the United States after a verbal altercation with his American counterpart Donald Trump in the Oval Office. This was reported on March 9 by The Washington Post (WP).
"The Ukrainian president is struggling to restore ties with Washington, as the White House increases pressure, demanding an early end to the conflict with Russia," the publication says.
Zelensky is going through one of the most critical periods of his entire time as head of state, the newspaper writes. It is noted that this is due not only to disputes in the White House and the suspension of military aid, but also to negotiations with his internal political rivals.
Earlier in the day, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Dubinsky said that Zelensky in the future may try to disrupt peace talks on the settlement of the conflict. He stressed that the Ukrainian leader allegedly "pretends to apologize to Trump," but in fact continues to pursue his policy without changes.
